Authorities say an inmate who escaped custody before his scheduled surgery at an East Tennessee hospital has been found. Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt told WJHL-TV that 55-year-old Mark Hanselman of Indiana was taken into custody. He said Hanselman was shot by a Greene County deputy during a confrontation on Dec. 3. Holt says Hanselman was expected to undergo surgery at Johnson City Medical Center when he escaped. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Johnson City Police found him and took him into custody later Friday. Meanwhile, the search is on for two inmates who escaped from a West Tennessee prison.
