Clarkrange Woman Dies After 127 N Accident Late Saturday Afternoon

A Clarkrange woman lost her life following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 127 North in Cumberland County late Saturday afternoon. She has been identified as 37-year-old Evelyn Dyer. According to Trooper Marty Brown’s preliminary report, around 4:30pm Saturday, Ms. Dyer was driving a 1995 Lincoln Town Car southbound on Highway 127 just north of the Woody Community. Dyer’s Lincoln crossed over the center line and struck a northbound 2017 Ford Expediton head-on driven by 57-year-old Norma Cross, of Clarkrange. Ms. Dyer had to be extricated and passed away from her injuries soon after. Ms. Cross and a 7-year-old passenger were transported to a trauma center by Life Flight.
