The Stone Memorial High School teams traveled to Rhea County to open District play Tuesday. The Lady Panthers, the second ranked team in the State in this week’s AP Top 10, rolled to a 82-33 win over the Lady Eagles. The Panthers also picked up a road win as they beat the Eagles 60-40. Stone Memorial is scheduled to return to action Friday with road games at Warren County. The District action will air live on Mix 99.3 beginning at 5:55. The Lady Panthers game with the Lady Pioneers is scheduled to tip at 6:00.
The Cumberland County High School Jets and Lady Jets are scheduled to travel to Grundy County for District games on Friday. Both CCHS teams are off to 3 and 0 starts this season in District play. The Lady Jets game with the Lady Yellow Jackets will tip at 6:00 and live coverage begins at 5:55 on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
