Unfortunately, with every crisis, scammers come up with very creative ways to cheat good people out of their hard earned money or property. The Tennessee Department of Health is warning everyone to beware of COVID-19 Vaccine scams and has offered these tips:
Don’t pay out of pocket for the vaccine.
Don’t pay to put your name on a priority list.
Don’t pay to get early access to the vaccine.
Don’t let anyone in your home who says they have the vaccine. Vaccines are not solicited door-to-door.
And as the Crossville Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department says, never give out your personal or financial information to anyone you do not know no matter the circumstances.
