Director Of Schools, Dr. Ina Maxwell, has announced that Cumberland County Schools will continue to operate in the “red” metric January 19-22, 2021. That means grades 3-12 will continue remote learning. PreK through 2nd grade students must continue to report to school in-person.
On Friday, Dr. Maxwell reported that the Cumberland County School system had:
19 positive active student cases
6 positive active staff cases
178 total students quarantined due to being determined to have had close contact with another individual who tested positive.
20 total staff members quarantined due to being determined to have had close contact with another individual who tested positive.
There is no school Monday, January 18, 2021 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
