The SMHS teams traveled to Cookeville Tuesday night for District games. In action aired live on Mix 99.3 the Lady Panthers suffered their first District loss of the season and had their 14 game winning streak snapped as they fell to the Lady Cavaliers 42-40. The Panthers battled the Cavs in the final game of the night and Stone Memorial picked up the road District win improving to 2 and 1 in District play with the 50-43 victory. The next District action on the schedule for Stone Memorial is Tuesday (1/26) as they entertain White County. Catch the District action on Mix 99.3.
The Cumberland County teams stepped outside the District for games against Rhea County on Monday and road games at White County on Tuesday. CCHS won both games on Monday and both the Lady Jets and Jets lost their games on Tuesday. This Friday (1/22) its back to District play for the Jets and Lady Jets as they host Sequatchie County. The games Friday will air live on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
