The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man with explosive devices in the parking lot of WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge. WVLT reports that Dakota Surrett was apprehended Friday morning after his wife called authorities saying her husband had explosives in his van and intended to harm himself. Officers approached the van and Mr. Surrett admitted having explosive devices that he brought from North Carolina but denied planning to hurt himself. Police recovered two devices and Surrett was taken into custody and charged with illegal explosives and reckless endangerment.
