Three people are dead following a crash in Cookeville Tuesday morning. The driver of a pickup truck being pursued by the Tennessee Highway Patrol reportedly ran through the intersection of Interstate Drive and Willow Avenue around 8 a.m. Tuesday, striking a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Amanda Chatman. Chatman along with her 3 and 4 year old sons, Alexton and Braydon, were killed in the crash. The driver of the truck, Michael Don Shepherd, 25 of Pegram, Tennessee, sustained non-life threatening injuries and has been charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and evading arrest. Authorities have not commented on the reason for the pursuit.
