The Crossville City Council recently received the results of a feasibility study for an indoor recreation facility. During the monthly work session on Tuesday, council briefly discussed the study but plan an in-depth discussion at an upcoming council retreat. According to the report by Wold Architects and Engineers, a majority of survey respondents support an indoor recreation facility with most wanting to see after school programs and indoor water facilities. The report also placed a price tag of $31 to 32 million for the project. Council member Scot Shanks noted that this was just a starting point and a way to visualize potential facilities. Over the past 20 years, previous councils have considered such a facility, but none have managed to get off the drawing board.
