Crossville City Council members, in work session, discussed a potential project that would bring an aviation/aerospace technology company to Crossville. According to City Manager Greg Wood, the company would require high speed Internet in an area currently not serviced. Wood noted that Ben Lomand Connect has agreed to cover 60 percent of the cost to bring service to the area while the city would need to come up with $27,500 to complete the project. Wood said there was enough money in from the Hotel/Motel tax. Council is expected to vote next week on whether or not to approve the cost sharing. President of the Chamber, Ethan Hadley, identified the company as Whisper Aero.
