VEC Crews Work Overnight, Power Restored To Thousands

By Ronni Chase Feb 8, 2021 | 9:51 AM

Volunteer Energy Cooperative has restored power to most of its customers in record time.  In less than 24 hours, VEC went from 6,900 customers without electricity to just 83 outages affecting 279 members.   Crews worked throughout the night after this weekend’s storm dumped six to ten inches of snow in some areas, toppling branches and trees and downing spans of power lines.   VEC crews will continue to work today until everyone possible has their power restored.
