The Cumberland County Board of Education met in regular session for February on Thursday evening. Board members approved guidelines for creating a ‘sick leave bank’ for certified and non-certified employees. The purpose of the bank would be to provide those who contribute to it, extended leave for unplanned personal illnesses or injuries once their personal sick leave is exhausted. Also approved were several policies including a revision to a policy concerning interrogations and searches, policies regarding textbook selections, as well as a policy on immunizations.
