The Stone Memorial High School Lady Panthers traveled to Murfreesboro Saturday night to take on the Blackman Lady Blaze in the Sectional Round of the State Playoffs. SMHS held the lead through three quarters of play, but the home team rallied in the final frame to advance to the State Tournament and end the Lady Panthers season with a 52-45 win. The Lady Panthers come up just one win shy of advancing to the State Tournament for a second straight season. Last year the Lady Panthers ended Blackman’s season with a road win in the Sectionals. This season the Lady Panthers team finished in a tie for the top spot in District 6AAA during the regular season, claimed the District Tournament Title and finished as the Region 3AAA runner-up. They end their year with a 24 and 6 record.
