Fairfield Glade Woman Arrested for Simple Assault on a First Responder Along with Other Charges

According to the Cumberland County Sherriff’s Office, Deputies were patrolling 127 North when they witnessed a gray car driving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then changed lanes in front of heavy traffic with out signaling. The gray vehicle got on to the entrance of the 317 interstate heading east on I-40. The Deputy then initiated their emergency lights and siren and pursued after the vehicle. The vehicle was then passing cars in an unsafe manner. The vehicle finally came to a stop at the 322 exit ramp of I-40. The Deputy asked the driver, who was identified as Stacey Lee Gallegos-Cisneros, to exit the vehicle but she refused. She then had to be forced from her car and was placed into custody. While the Deputy was placing Ms. Gallegos-Cisneros in their patrol unit she kicked the Deputy in the chest. Stacey Gallegos-Cisneros was written five citations which include Improper Passing, Following to Close, Expired Registration, Financial Responsibility, and Drivers to Exercise Due Care. Ms. Gallegos-Cisneros was also placed under arrest and charged with Evading Arrest, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest, and Simple Assault on a First Responder.
