Crossville Couple Arrested with Controlled Substance

Deputies with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office were at Mayland Road to conduct a warrant service for Darian Wyrick and made contact with Michael Melton who was in an RV in front of the house where the warrant was to be issued. Melton opened the RV door with aluminum foil and redish tube which from the Deputies experience can be used to consume illegal narcotics. After attempting to conceal the paraphernalia behind his back the Deputy asked Melton to retrieve anything he possessed in the camper that was illegal. Melton retrieved a brown powdery substance from under the bed after the Deputy asked Melton said it was heroin. Melton also said he had marijuana in the camper as well. After receiving consent the Deputy retrieved numerous cylinders that contained a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and marijuana cigarettes. Mr. Melton’s girlfriend identified as Regina Fish was laying in the bed in the camper. Deputies asked her to give over all illegal narcotics she had possession of. After giving everything she had possession of the Deputies were given written consent by Regina Fish and Micheal Melton to search the rest of the camper. The search revealed approximately 56 grams of a brown powdery substance believed to be heroin, a wallet containing $611, and ledger that contained names and monetary values. Deputies then went to the house to serve an warrant and arrested Darian Wyrick. Regina Fish was charged and arrested for Manufacture, Delivery, and Sell of a Controlled Substance and Micheal Melton was arrested and charged with Manufacture, Delivery, and Sell of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
