A Fairfield Glade man has been arrested for allegedly shooting another man after a night of drinking alcohol. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office reports that 46-year-old Alan Michael Unser was charged with Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Possession Of A Weapon. According to a witness, Mr. Unser and the male victim had been drinking at Unser’s home when the two began arguing. The witness went to his bedroom to avoid the situation and heard a loud pop followed by screaming and the sound of people and a car leaving the residence. The victim reportedly drove himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot. The victim claimed he had been shot by Mr. Unser. Police found a rifle in Mr. Unser’s bedroom and it was determined that Unser, as a convicted felon, is not legally allowed to be in possession of a firearm.
