Volunteer Energy Cooperative reports that a customer has alerted them to yet another phone scam in the area. Someone calling from 330-576-8894 and identifying himself as Shaun Harrison, “an employee of VEC”, has requested payment from the customer to prevent immediate disconnection of service. Please be aware, VEC will never call and demand immediate payment to prevent disconnection of service. If anyone does this, please hang up and call your local service center to verify the status of your account.
