Motorcycle Chase Concludes in Slew of Charges

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office a chase involving a motorcycle took place earlier last week. Deputies first attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle at Lewis Loop however the motorcycle failed to stop. The motorcycle swerved from shoulder to shoulder on the roadway and began straightening curves. Once the bike made it to Sparta Highway the bike began to reach speeds of 77 mph. Deputies then intercepted the driver after they attempted to turn into a driveway on East Main Street. The driver identified as Daryl Bradley Vaughn was brought into custody by deputies. After a search of Mr. Vaughn deputies retrieved a set of digital scales covered in a white substance. Daryl Bradley Vaughn was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Evading Arrest, Reckless Endangerment, Manufacturing, Delivery, Sell, or Possession of Meth, Unlawful Possession Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on Revoked/Suspended License, Failure to Appear, Speeding, and Financial Responsibility Law.
