Friday night the Stone Memorial High School Panthers played host to the DeKalb County Tigers. Entering the game, the two teams were tied for third in the Region 4 Class 4A standings with the winner claiming third outright and the loser taking fourth in the Region. SMHS fell to 6 and 4 on the season, with a 21-20 overtime loss to the Tigers. The Panthers have earned a State Playoff berth for the ninth straight season and will be on the road for round one Friday, November 5th. Catch the broadcast on Mix 99.3.
The Cumberland County High School Jets played host to Macon County Friday night in a Region matchup. The road team posted a 44-10 win. The Jets are now 5 and 5 and have one more game on this year’s schedule. CCHS will travel to Madisonville to take on the Chiefs at Sequoyah High School on Thursday, November 4th, at 6:30.
