It was announced Sunday that the 7-5 Tennessee Volunteers will be in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl. Tennessee’s opponent is the Purdue Boilermakers from the Big 10. Purdue finished their season 8-4 with notable wins over Iowa and Michigan State who were ranked 2nd and 5th in the nation at the time. The Boilermakers other 6 wins came against Oregon State, Connecticut, Illinois, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Indiana while their losses were to Notre Dame, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ohio State. Tennessee and Purdue will face off in the Music City Bowl in Nashville at Nissan Stadium on Thursday, December 30th at 2:00 PM Central time.
