A North Carolina woman died following a shooting at a Sevier County rental cabin Monday morning. Deputies responded to the 3200 block of Smoky Ridge Way where they found the 28-year-old Tatina Buddington, of Charlotte, North Carolina, deceased in the cabin. A man, identified as 26-year-old Daekwon Dodd, 26, of Charlotte, was injured after he reportedly jumped from a third story balcony. Dodd was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and in serious condition. Sevier County Sheriff’s detectives, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Sevier County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident.
