Two Die In Roane County Crash

Two people died Tuesday evening in Roane County after their vehicle crashed in the area of Harriman Highway and Old Hen Valley Road.  According to reports, the vehicle, driven by 44-year-old Melissa Giles, of Oliver Springs, ran off the road, traveled down an embankment, hit a tree and overturned.  The car came to a rest in a creek where it caught fire.  Giles and her passenger, 38-year-old Jesse Lowe, of Harriman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
