The District 7AAA High School Basketball Tournament tipped off Tuesday and the Stone Memorial High School Lady Panthers traveled to Sparta to take on the White County High School Warriorettes in a first-round match-up. The Lady Panthers ended their season with a record of 8 and 19 as they fell to the Warriorettes 67-36.
Wednesday (2/16) the CCHS Jets play host to the DeKalb County Tigers in a first-round game with a trip to Friday’s semi-finals on the line. The Jets home game will tip at 6:00 and live coverage begins at 5:55 on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
The CCHS Lady Jets and the SMHS Panthers claimed the top-seeds in the tournament and will see their first action in the semi-finals to be played Friday at Tennessee Tech. Both the Lady Jets and Panthers have also already secured a berth in the Region Tournament.
