Wednesday the District 7AAA High School Basketball Tournament continued and the Cumberland County High School Jets played host to the DeKalb County Tigers in a first-round game. The Jets rolled to a 67-39 win earning a trip to the tourney semifinals and a Region Tournament berth.
The CCHS Lady Jets and the SMHS Panthers claimed the top-seeds in the tournament and will both see their first action in the semi-finals to be played Friday at Tennessee Tech and they have already secured berths in the Region Tournament. Friday, the CCHS Jets take on the White County Warriors at 5:30 and the Lady Jets and Upperman Lady Bees meet at 7:00. All the Cumberland County High School action airs live on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY.
