Saturday the Consolation and Championship games of the District 7AAA Tournament were played at Tennessee Tech. In the Girls Consolation game, the Lady Jets fell to the Livingston Academy Lady Wildcats 47-39. The Jets dropped a 68-66 decision to the Wildcats from Livingston Academy in the boys third place game. Upperman claimed the Girls Championship with a big win over White County. The Boys Championship Game featured the regular season champion, Stone Memorial High School Panthers, and the two seed White County Warriors. A buzzer beater lifted the Warriors to a 46-45 win.
All the teams in action on Saturday will advance to the Region 4AAA Tournament which tips off with girls first round games on Friday (2/25) and boys first round games on Saturday (2/26). The Lady Jets and Jets will be on the road in round one. The SMHS Panthers will host a first-round game. All the CCHS games air live on 102.5 WOW COUNTRY and catch the SMHS Panthers on Mix 99.3.
