A Monterey man was apprehended after he allegedly evaded Crossville Police on a stolen motorcycle. According to reports, 21-year-old Hunter Dixon was driving a black Harley Davidson motorcycle when he blew through a stop sign on Fourth Street and proceeded at a high rate of speed in a reckless manner. Police activated blue lights and sirens and pursued Dixon, who reportedly ran through a red light before turning onto North Main Street. Police say he was traveling up to 95 mph. Dixon attempted to make a left turn onto Northside Drive when he traveled through the grass and came to an abrupt stop, laying over the motorcycle in front of Romos Restaurant. He was apprehended and a search revealed marijuana and a glass pipe in his possession. The Harley Davidson had been reported stolen out of Overton County. Warrants were obtained on Hunter Dixon for Evading Arrest, Reckless Endangerment, Theft of Property, Simple Possession, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
