The Crossville City Council recently voted to move the monthly Cruise-in off Main Street, a move that has created much debate. Some downtown businesses say the event, held monthly during the spring, summer and fall, detracts from their business with some claiming losses of $800 to $1000 during the event. Organizers of the cruise-in feel that being on Main Street attracts potential customers to the area and say they would lose participants if the event were to be relegated to a back street with less parking. Further action, if any, would come at the Council’s Regular Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 8th at Crossville City Hall.
