Monterey Man Arrested For Meth

According to a Press Release on the Putnam County Sheriff’s Facebook page, the “Drug Task Force, as part of an ongoing drug investigation, arrested Gregory Michael Howard, 40, of Monterey, Tennessee Monday night on charges of Intent to Manufacture, Deliver, Sell, or Possess Methamphetamine. Investigators seized 28.4 ounces of methamphetamine, as well as packaging materials and digital scales.”  The Sheriff’s Office says that “Howard has an extensive criminal background and has been in the Putnam County Jail Facility over 30 times. Howard is facing two additional class A felony charges, the highest class of felony in Tennessee, over similar methamphetamine charges that are currently awaiting trial in court at this time from arrests that occurred in June of 2020.
