Police in Soddy Daisy say a man shot and killed his sleeping brother. Authorities were called to the residence early Thursday morning where they discovered 23-year-old Michael Jarrell deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. His brother, Larry D. Jarrell, reportedly told police that he was high on alcohol and marijuana while playing with guns at the foot of his sleeping brother’s bed. At this time, it appears the shooting was accidental. Larry Jarrell has been charged with Criminal Homicide and Reckless Endangerment.
