TRISO-X has selected the Horizon Center Industrial Park in Oak Ridge, Tennessee as the site for the nation’s first commercial advanced nuclear reactor fuel fabrication facility. Scheduled for commissioning and start-up as early as 2025, the TRISO-X Fuel Fabrication Facility (TF3) is projected to generate more than 400 jobs in the Oak Ridge area and attract an investment of nearly $300 million, building off investments to date of over $75 million. Throughout construction of the modular facility, TRISO-X will partner with local community colleges to develop a training program and recruit from the local labor force, helping to create sustainable economic opportunities for the region.
