Relatives Say Former U.S. Marine From Tennessee Killed While Fighting In Ukraine

Relatives of a former U.S. Marine say he has been killed while fighting alongside Ukrainian forces in the war with Russia.  Rebecca Cabrera told CCN that her son, 22-year-old Willy Joseph Cancel, was killed Monday while working for a military contracting company.   Cancel’s widow, Brittany, says he leaves behind a young son and that she sees her husband as a hero.  Cancel, originally from Orange County, New York, had been working as a corrections officer at a privately run facility in Tennessee  when he reportedly left that position to work for the military contracting company in Ukraine.
