As of Wednesday afternoon, about 12,000 Tennesseans were still unable to get on the state’s unemployment website, which went offline Sunday afternoon. The website is where people go to log weekly job search efforts that make them eligible for payment from the state. Officials said there is no word when the website will be running again. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development said that technicians have been working around the clock since the outage was reported to bring Jobs4TN.gov back online. Individuals who need to file a new unemployment claim need to wait for further instructions on how to apply once the system is operational.
