Just days after a pipeline ruptured in West Tennessee and spilled over 200,000 gallons of crude oil, there was a gas pipeline leak in East Tennessee on July 4 in Loudon County. Colonial Pipeline sent crews to the area and repairs were made within 24 hours but not before almost 25,000 gallons of gas spilled. So far officials say surrounding waterways were not affected and no health advisories were immediately issued. The Colonial Pipeline runs through 13 states and transports more than 100 million gallons of fuel every day, according to its website.
