The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday that there are 10 active Monkeypox cases in Tennessee. Davidson County reports 4 cases; it’s not clear where the 6 other cases are located in the Volunteer State.
Nationwide, there are more than 2,100 cases of Monkeypox with New York leading the country with 581 confirmed cases.
Monkeypox is primarily spread through close, intimate contact but you can also catch it by touching clothing, objects and surfaces used by an infected person.
