Authorities in Roane County have arrested Lonnie Dale Wright, who is suspected of murdering two people at a residence in Kingston on May 16, 2022. The deceased have been identified as 67-year-old Steve Groover and 62-year-old Cindy Scruggs. Police have not revealed how the two died. WVLT reports that Wright has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Especially Aggravated Burglary, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, Vandalism and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
