First Full Day Of School Is Monday, August 8, 2022

This Monday (8/8/2022) is the First Full Day of School in Cumberland County.  Motorists are reminded to be on the alert for children going to and from school and obey speed limits, especially in school zones.  Allow extra distance if you are behind a school bus and remember that it is illegal to pass a school bus that is loading or unloading students. If the yellow or red lights on a school bus are flashing and the stop arm is extended, traffic in both directions must stop.  Remain Alert! Children often are unpredictable and can dart back into the road even after the school bus resumes forward motion.  With patience and due care, together we can make this a safe and happy school year.
