The Crossville City Council will meet in Special Session at Noon on Friday, August 26, 2022 at City Hall. Agenda items include discussion and action regarding the Village Inn and City Manager suspension.
City Manager, Greg Wood, has rescinded his resignation after the Crossville City Council tabled action on the matter last week. Wood said in a letter to Mayor James Mayberry that he originally resigned with the belief that he would be terminated regardless of the outcome of the investigation into the closing of the Village Inn in July. Wood now says that doesn’t seem to be the case following last week’s special called meeting. The City Manager was originally suspended from duties earlier this month while a Chattanooga law firm conducts an investigation into the events that led to the temporary closing of the motel-turned-extended-stay facility.
The City Council will also discuss the selection of a new City Attorney/Tax Attorney during Friday’s special session.
UPDATE: The City of Crossville Building Codes Appeals Board originally scheduled for Friday, August 26 has been postponed until September.
