Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Warns Of Facebook Scam

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning about a Facebook scam.  A resident reported Friday they received a message on messenger from Sheriff Casey Cox telling them about Working Federation Block Grants.   The message requests that you click a link to find out more information.   The Sheriff’s Office says the information came from a fake Casey Cox account.  Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox will not send you a Facebook Message, email or make contact with you in anyway asking you to click links, supply personal information or send money.  The Sheriff’s Office urges everyone to “be greedy with your personal information.  Do not supply it unless you know for sure who you are giving it to.”
