A man who was hit by a double locomotive Tuesday morning in Murfreesboro still managed to call 911 for himself. It happened on South Church Street. Police say the train engineer sounded his horn and tried to slow down once he saw the 24-year-old man walking alongside the tracks with his head down. The man was struck in the left shoulder and knocked to the ground. The victim called 911 himself and was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. CSX is investigating the incident.
