A skydiver was fatally injured Friday night during a pre-game performance in Northeast Tennessee.   The man died after he crash-landed in David Crockett High School football stadium in Jonesborough just prior to the Musket Bowl, an annual Washington County rivalry game.  Officials did not immediately release the man’s name or details surrounding the incident. Washington County Director of Schools Jerry Boyd referred to him as a ” beloved husband, father, and grandfather,” in a statement released to WCYB. According to USA Today, the 55-year-old skydiver was hired from JumpTN in Greeneville.  JumpTN said in a statement that he had “more than 1500 jumps to his credit” and witnesses did not notice anything unusual about the free fall or the parachute, which was deployed “without incident.”  School officials led the crowd in a moment of silence and then decided to proceed with the game.
