On Monday the District 7AAA Basketball Media Day was held in Cookeville. Coaches spoke to the media and gave your thoughts and predictions for the upcoming season. All of the boys and girls coaches feel that District 7AAA is the toughest in the state and have to have your A game each and every night.
In the Girls Coaches Poll Upperman, the defending state champions, were picked first. The Cumberland Co. Lady Jets were picked second, White Co. was picked third , Livingston Academy fourth, Stone Memorial fifth, Dekalb Co. sixth and Macon Co. last. In the girls Media Poll, Upperman was picked first, White Co. and Cumberland Co. tied for second, Livingston Academy fourth, Dekalb Co. and Stone Memorial tied for fifth and Macon Co. last.
In the Boys Coaches Poll, White Co. was picked first, Stone Memorial second, Upperman third, Livingston Academy and Dekalb Co. tied for fourth, Cumberland Co. sixth and Macon Co. last. In the boys media poll, White Co. was picked first, Stone Memorial second, Upperman third, and a three-way tie for fourth between Cumberland Co., Dekalb Co. and Livingston Academy and Macon Co. last.
