The Putnam County man charged with murdering a 15-year-old girl has been indicted.
Judge Steven Randolph set bond for Charles “Chuck” Carter Jr. as follows: $400,000 bond for 1 count of 2nd Degree Murder, $50,000 bond for 1 count of Aggravated Statutory Rape, and a $50,000 bond for 1 count of Abuse of a Corpse. The bond total is $500,000 bond regarding the death of Olivia Daryl Taylor with a source hearing required before a bond can be approved.
Sheriff Eddie Farris said, “A source hearing is a court hearing to determine who is making the bond and where the financial source is coming from, and would have to be approved by the Judge before the bond can be accepted.”
Carter has a preliminary court date set for Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
